Hi all
I have been modeling a Willys jeep in Gamespace,I'm just finishing off the texturing, so I would like some crits and suggestions please.
As I will eventually offer the model for sale should I leave out the numbers ,anyway see what you think.
Thanks

The model looks great and the texture is also nice,
but you still need to work on the windows IMO, especially the side
windows.

Very nice. Just needs a little texture detailing - what Renegade and Oddmind said.

Might want to add some texture details to the hood/bonnet part. Like grooves, rivets or those things that hold it down. Also for the canvas. since your texture seems highres enough.

Whats the back look like? And the undercarriage, I see some suspensions there.

i have an idea put a couple of rips in the back canvas part so it looks more beatup like the front.

Thanks for the replys guys,Renegade what type of work do the windows need?
I agree the tarpaulin canopy could be distressed a little.
Heres a couple more shots, one where I changed the decals, and one of the chassis.

Well if you asked, I did a search in google and found this picture.
I know it's not the same as your jeep but you can see that the side windows have some
sort of frame, plus they have the same wrinkles as the cover (sorry for the bad wording) since the window is not glass
but a transparent plastic bag or something.

I love the new (old) jeep, nice texture on this one,
IMO you just need to add some depth to the wheels.

i like the model and the texture.. the windows are fine.. thinks this model is for a game... not for a movie..
its exelent man..

(can meke more low poly.. i mame one of 400 polys.. )

I have to agree with the comments that the car texture is great, but the windows are not so great. I find that black works good for windows if they have no transparency. Then you would add your dirt spray over the black, with the edges most dirty, and working to less dirt in the middle of the window, then you would add your wiper effect to that. some smear, maybe use a path for the wipers, and a wide brush to smear the path.

Nice I like the people in the jeep, are you serious that the first ones only 2000 polys dang, i must really like to model high cuz if i made a model like that i'm thinking it would be at least 7k

Thanks DB newbie

Renegade, the texture is the same as the covered jeep only without the canopy part.

neodelito thank you,you are right it is meant as game content, for movies I would have put a lot more detail in.For 400 polys (tris) it would'nt look the way I wanted

Pincho Paxton I did'nt use any transparency on the windows, windows are not a strong point of mine however I'll have another attempt at them, thanks for pointing it out.

poke a fish thank you,yes the tri count is 2057,I could get it down by removing the shovel, axe, petrol can, spare wheel and exhaust pipe but I think it looks better with them
All thats needed is enough mesh too hold the shape and let the texture take care of the rest ,at least thats the idea.

those vehicles are pretty sweet, i think that they would be good enough to put into a game, i agree with the windows of the first one, they look a little plastic but other than that it looks great
