As some of you already know, I am working on a new SkyPack.
If you would like to make a suggestion for any particular landscape/sky scene, then voice it here.
I can't guarantee it will make it in the pack, but it will surely be considered.

There are downloadable samples of the seamlessness in the Showcase.

Your input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I would like to see another city-type scene or two in the pack. possibly a futuristic city with skyscrapers and such, and then maybe like a ghetto type scene. I will proabbably end up making these myself because they are not the easiest to make, but i thought i would just give my input

I have given that much thought Bullshock.
Waterfalls as well coming out from the city walls high atop their mountains.
Even whole mountains transformed into a huge structure. (like cliff dwellers who carved)

You're basically trimming and placing a scene on the sky's render.
The trick is to take the 2d image's lighting perspective into consideration when placing the sun in your landscape's shot. A match should result into a weld that the human mind would accept because of the consistency of the shadows' perspectives. Of course distances and size play a crucial role in the resolution factors as well. So, I plan to keep the buildings in the distance.

I too plan to attempt it.

What's up?

Nobody else has a request?

I guess everybody must be already making their own skyscapes.
Here's another shot. Expect more textures for this atmosphere too.

I'm having a problem with color changes when I save my work. (crappy paint program)

Look at this city in the distance using the shot from above.

I think my pallette is too big and I need to share the colors between scenes.
I'm going to try and reverse the process by cutting out a section of the landscape to overlay the object.
I'll probably ruin the landscape's resolution but I'll have to try everything until I find what works.

Hi,

Quote: "Nobody else has a request?"

Generic dusk, dawn, day, night would be probably helpful to the wider community - it's just that I won't know my personal specifics until I start building a proper custom game.

The needs of any specific game is likely to require skybanks that don't fit in with a SkyBank Pack, if you know what I mean.

Kudos though on both the effort and the end result, I will most likely look to you when I know what I want .

One of these days I'll get that Osama.

Cheers, Rich.

p.s. Have a beer I have .

Good One.

That one would be tough. (with a hud for the goggles and maybe a sound effect)
I'm not sure if I can pull that one off, but it's another good idea.
That would probably be a pack in itself.

That's almost what I had in mind for some packs. (One terrain with all four seasons etc)
Night and day for each is a good idea too.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I plan to have the first SkyPack out by this weekend.
The more complicated ones with the buildings and such will soon follow.

Sunken

Yes,like a Marine-Life Observation Tunnel.

All we need now are some bubble decals for outside the windows.
It only takes a couple bones with one animation for realistic fish to be swimming by too.

This is actually a wonderful idea.
Strange planets covered totally with water would need these.
The sea there could be a different colour with wacked out looking fish.

Okay =ChrisB= you talked me into it.
This one will be down the road aways though. (I want it to look good)
I don't think my Landscape Tool can create underwater stuff, so it makes for a difficult task.
The idea is worthy of the effort though.
