small problem I have with blender:

this is with the newest version of blender.
all the black squares are there, until i highlight the menuitem. as you can see in that screenshot

Ahh yes i had that problem too. Your using an ATI card am I right? If you are, you probably need to update the drivers. I found that that fixed the problem.

yes I am, and I should have the most recent drivers, as I just installed thems straight from the internet a week or two ago after my format.

but i'll check and see...

well that was my only issue when i had those black squares. It doesnt actually hamper your development does it? Is it just a bloody annoying side issue lol?

I heard that having older drivers/the ones on the cd you got with it work best. And also setting your graphics to default will help too.
