Hello,

For anyone who has used Giles before -

I have a friend making models in 3DS max for snow island, after loading the .3ds into giles and positioning the lights, a .x file is exported with a lightmap.

How can I get this lightmap and texturemap to load in db. If I texture the model manually once loaded with the lightmap, the original texturemap is lost etc,

I thought that lightmapping would just 'burn' the original texturemap with different contrast levels to represent light and dark areas that when applied to the model represents the position of lights, so we would still only have one texturemap for each model.

Anyone know the correct procedure using giles to import a model and export one and how to make the end result compatible with darkbasic?
