Hello, I was wondering what sort of free (or inexpensive) molding tools I can use to edit models and such in FPSC.

Keith listed the best ones I think.
Here, they are listed as hyperlinks to the respective sites.

Milkshape ($25)

BullShock has already made an animated FPSC skeleton available for Milkshape.
If you want to rig your own character meshes, then that's the way to go.

Otherwise, I would use the GameSpace Lite (free), for static models.

Thanks, I will start off with Blender and practice. Milkshape sounds very inexpensive so I will look into it also.

Err..
Different programs have different interfaces.
It`s almost too time wasting to switch and try learning other programs in one go.

But learning the concept of modeling is different, besides, interfaces are easy enough to use. Once you know where what you want is, you tend to learn that.
