I've never done object collision before as I'm relatively new to the software. Basically a have a long cylinder object and a sphere. I'm using object collision(sphere, cylinder) to detect whether or not the objects are colliding. Unfortunately the cylinder seems to have an invisible sphere made around it that's being constructed to detect the collision. I only want collision to be detected if the sphere collides with the cylinder itself, not a collision sphere around it. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Check the "Set object collision to polygons" command

would get better and possibly faster results if you posted this question in the newbie, classic, or pro section.... 3-d chat is more specifically aimed toward the models and less about their interaction in the program...

The answer Zergei gave was the correct one! No need to post elsewhere...
