There is quite a bit of black. Not sure what you meant by the next question.

If tga or dds, make sure there's no alpha channels.

Look in characters fpe, see if there's a line with "transparency=". If there is, remove it.

If still no luck, upload the texture or fpe file, if you can. So that someone can take a look at it.

NIK, Black means Transparent when you do Textures (Though only if its Black like RGB 0,0,0)
maybe thats what the prob is

Open in your graphics app. Also tgas' should be 24bit, if they have an alpha channel they'll be 32bit. If there's a transparency setting in the fpe, then it would use black in the image even if there is no alpha channel (I think. I always use alphas)

You can also use an image viewer to get the info. Like Irfanview (free). I use this to convert between formats too.

In your screenshot. What were your build settings for the test level?
Lightmaps? Shaders? Are these on and does it make any difference to your character?

I've got to laugh at this. Isn't this the way with innovation....guy makes a mistake and comes up with a perfect "predator" movie like effect for the villains that every ones clamoring to find out how they can duplicate this mistake and the poor guy still is no closer to solving "his" problem....... I love it..Fly another kite in the storm Ben.

That is a pretty neat effect. The guy who invented the glue used in Post-It notes was trying to make an unbreakable bonding material; fortunately he had enough business sense to see the value in his 'mistake'.

Thanks Keith!! You can bet on that I will use this "mistake" in my project. Solved my problem too, so everything worked out for the best. If anyone really wants to get this effect mail me. Email is on screenshots page.
