a matrix isn't a matrix's matrix
it isn't at all as in the film matrix
a matrix is a ground
only a ground
not less
not more
try this code :

you can see what is a matrix
now, run half-life, choose internet games, choose cs, dod or tfc, and join a game .. all what you can see excepted the others players is a bsp, the bsp is a map, it can have a ground, walls, doors, ......

if you want to make a fps, you should use BSPs, and for a strategy game matrices

Mentally I think of matrix as outdoor and bsp as indoor - although in truth i've used each for the opposite before now... hmmm, don't mind me - just passing through!
