Can I use a trigger zone to make a win zone appear. A example is when you kill a boss a win zone will appear.

That's not really possible. But what you can do is use a trigger zone to open a door when the boss is killed and put the winzone behind that door.

or you can add these lines to the winzone.fpi, I think...

:activated=0:state=0

and then have the boss' death script have

::activateifused=1

and have the ifused field target the winzone, of course, to do this, you need to get dirty with the fpe of the boss. That is located somewhere in

c:\program files\the game creators\fps creator\files\entity bank\

and add

ifused=winzone anywhere within the fpe.

On a (somewhat) related topic, from your talk about triggers, is it possible to make it so that the player gets a list of objectives (e.g., for a game I'm planning, to collect a medical kit and then bring it to a crash site so that the plane pilot can heal himself), then have the objectives ticked off as he does them, and then to win once all the objectives are completed?

Just having a look at FPSC, not bought yet but probably will.
