Well... i have made a world in 3dsmax 5 and i export it in .3ds format. It loads it just fine and i got about 260 fps. the machine i try it is:

Oh yes, DO NOT USE 3DS MODELS in DBPro - they don't work correctly - convert them to .X format first.

anyway please tell me a few solutions of how to get best performance on slow machines.

Well, some tricks are :

A) Wait until patch 4
B) Only display objects within camera range
C) Reduce the polygon size as much as possible.
D) Dont use slow machines & get a very good graphics card
