I have some new pics of the map of working on for my game as well as others piled into a zip. There are some pics of test runs from pro (ninja model just stand in of course), my in progress design document also if anyone wants to know about this project, its very deatiled so far. Plese feel free to comment, critique...it would help out. Thanks.

Why can't you put the screens in the post? I'm not downloading and unzipping it...I'm too lazy.

Hi Koolaid,

The image looks a little small, when you go to post your
reply, just attach an image to the post using the File
Uploader.

Sorry koolaid, my mistake

I thought it was some kind of door into a prison cell or something,
the picture just gave me that kind of feel.

I like you new screenshots. Some gameplay info would be great.

Keep it up,

To put them on display you view the picture, right click on it, and copy the properties of the picture to this text editor. Then paste the properties between two image brackets.

BUT>>>>>>>>>>>

Your pictures are high quality, and a bit slow, so next time use more optimised JPG.

Well Froggie thats a pic from inside the editor, but i have been exporting my work here and there into pro to do some tests. These pics right now are from a map that is just in the opening cut-scene. Im trying not to get too detailed or use my best assets on it. The cut-scene should run smooth though, wont have to worry bout any collison or other objects except the map. I've been working on breaking my maps down into sections, and loading each one when the time is right. I might not have to break the map apart for the intro though.

Im working on the last area of the Cyber-Tech facility for the intro movie. There is a regular light entity placed in there, but it will actually be sunlight pouring in from above. Did some tests but couldnt get the sunlight correct , not yet. How does it look so far?

Some people have been asking me about this, but the blue texture is just a temporary texture i use in texture mode. Time to time i need to slap textures here and there on objects, and i use this to cover the other areas where the texture is undecided.

Looks pretty sweet, although, maybe a little bland? Try ading a backdrop effect ti it (eg; some lightning behind it, fire, etc.)

I think the health should be red not blue, but that's just me...

Game looks quite good, although the blue in the room looks a bit... out of place. Will you be making any outdoor levels? It's always a nice contrast to have a good amount of outdoors. It also stops the player from feeling claustrophobic. Your document says there will be a few, but I got the feeling that whatever you’re planning isn’t quite enough...

I’ve only skimmed through the design document, but it’s quite good. Longer than a number that I’ve read, although I have to admit that as I’m making my own rpg-sized design document, I sort of expected something 50 pages long… which explains why I haven’t looked at it until now.

I love how much progress is being made, and that it’s 3d person and not 1st person like I feared. As long as you keep progressing at a steady rate, things should be good.

There is a second bar behind the 1st blue bar. The one on top will remain blue representing how much life is left, and the one behind it is faded down and is red representing what life has been taken.

The blue is just the temp cover up texture i use, some people posted thinking the same thing. Trust me i wouldnt slap all that blue in there like that . The work im doing is a section of the Cyber-Tech facility. Im planning on having the player outside of the facility as well. Im still deciding on environmental issues, atmosphere... This is the planet Krizon that is the setting of the game.

The design document is a ongoing development along with the project, im doing all at the same time.

Im trying to keep up and things would go alot smoother if i had some people to work with. Hopefully after a while i be able to find some people interested and skilled. I prefer 3rd person action-adventures, thats why i making this genre of game. Although some of my level design is inspired by doom 3 and unreal, im trying to keep it consistently not looking like so.

Thanks alot for your comments Bizar Guy, appreciate it.

Very nice work on your maps.
Some are a bit dark... I agree with koolaid with the fact to add some more lightings effects... but... It's your game & you've the right to do what you want!
