Here is a VERY short vid of in game footage from level 3. It is not so much a trailer, it is just to show you what the atmosphere is like. Remember, at the time of this vid, The level is (WIP), so there is still much work to be done on lighting.

Yeah, that upload site sucked. It took one hour for me too, and i have a 24mbps DSL.

The environments was cool and well designed. And the music was good too.

Like I said earlier, this project has me really excited. As has basically been pointed out, I can't access the video. I'll make sure to give it a look when it's up on another website, though .

Yes, I have seen the new screenies, they look great--like I said, I've been watching over this project (and this thread) for quite a long time, but I only really took the initiative to post a little while ago.

if you want to, i am an experienced 3d cutscene, and extravagent trailer maker without using fpsc, asin seeing the main character from 3rd person, and him like running and shooting zombies in rendered graphics....if you dont mind (i guess wouldnt be considered hijacking the thread) i will post one piece of my work (trailer for my game) on this thread so you can see what im talking about. i have won many awards, even though i am only 16 ^^,
well, if you want to talk about it more, or see a piece of my work, either im me at MacDaddyILA on AIM, or email me at [email protected] i usually charge about $200-300 for use of my animation studio, but your game looks like it has promise, and i feel like being nice, and i have friends who would do character acting for free, well...contact me and we will talk about it. (if you have ever seen movies like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the graphics look like that.)

creator of zombies, there are cheaper ways of doing cool looking Trailers without laying out hundreds of dollars.

Use cheaper resources, make some profit and then if it's proving financially viable invest in better software/resources.

Selling just to a few friends and people on these forums probably won't warrant that investment.

If your game is good then you should market it through all possible avenues, these are my opinions anyway.

@WarMachine Studios- Sounds Really cool. But after splashing out 1 an a half grand on a custom built PC, The price tag might be a bit to high. But i suppose taht is a good price tag to pay if you are going to make loads of money out of your game, but as Komet said, There is no way i would make enough cash to afford paying that price tag. I really need cutscenes in my game, but paying such a high price tag (even though it sounds really awsome), but $200-300, thats nearly 150 quid english money. If the price tag and been around $50 then maybe. I konw the cut scenes are probobly up to expert standerds, but it's just a bit to cost heavy

reminds me of the boat level off farcry but only darkened,and with slightly more junk.

I shall Be going away to a relatives in two days time, so i won't have a chance to take any more screenies while i am there, but i shall upload the test file.


NOTE TO ALL TESTERS- The File I shall be uploading IS NOT a demo. It Is a very short bit of level 3 that i am working on. It has no enemies or weapons in it yet, and the lighting is not quite finished. It's Just something that i want the testers to test, and get their feedback op the atmosphere. I DO NOT want anyone to rib my sound effects out of the test level. If i find out tht they have been ripped, i shall cancel the project. Anyway, Bon Voyage, More screenies coming as soon as i get back.


ps- If you are very lucky, there might be a screenie put up in this thread tomorrow, but i can't say for sure.

I just had a thought. The name zombies sounds a bit cheap, so i thought i would extend the name to something like "Zombies-Dark Shadows". What do you think. I am open to suggestions.

Hm, I quite like the extension!

I say it would be a good move (not that there's anything wrong with "Zombies" but I like "Zombies: Dark Shadows" better) .
