They are all great as each other - Enterprise was slightly poorer than the others, as it was slightly slow to start with. However, it soon picked up.

Didn't like ST:TMP - thats level with 2001 with being the contender for the most boring film around.

Star treks great and i agree enterprise is coming along better now can't wait for the episode with the borg in it either, and ST TMP was boring but the new film is excellent.

I'm a mild Treker, my friend has a Klingon to Eniglish dictionary, he's got it bad. Personally I think that Generations and DS9 were the best. I don't get the chanel the Enterprize comes on so I've only seen a few episodes of it.

Dammit - I'm surrounded by Trekkies - agghhh!

Personally I thought that ST was rather bland and predictable having seen a few episodes - but I guess that I am a minority here.

TNG was by far the best series. I liked the earlier movies but now its just getting sad. I mean, I know Data is trying in every attempt to become more human, but why does he age so badly, he's an android. He's getting overweight seriously. Personally, I think they should drop the TNG cast for the movies and do a DS9 or Voyager movie. And I hate Enterprise (you're not missing out on much Arrow). It doesn't even follow any pattern of any STs and so many things are out of whack.

Stargate is also a great show.

I think they have dropped the TNG crew now - not even sure if they're going to do any more films. They certainly wont be doing one of DS9 or Voyager - they may do one of Enterprise though, but not for a quite a while.

I didn't notice Brent Spiner being fat - thought he was the same thickness as usual.

Actually, they just did another movie with the TNG cast. It was prety awful. I sure hope they don't make one with the Enterprise cast; cause if they do...

WARNING! if you like star trek, don't do like I did and start buying 'the official star trek fact files'. 304 issues later it has finally stopped! Cost me well over £500

I liked all the films (even the first one) and think I have seen every episode of Star trek, TNG, DS9, voyager. Can't get into Enterprise, can't stop it reminding me that Archer was in Quantum Leap. I think they should have used a less famous actor.

i liked the past 2 movies of Star Trek ... Insurection and Nemesis, they were ALOT darker than the previous movies, and First Contact was good but only when they're taking enterprise back

i dunno, used to like Star Trek as a kid - but now The Next Generation and everything like that just seem crap ... to wishy washy i suppose. Babylon5 now seems like it was done to a shoe string budget ... and not in a classic way like Blake's 7 or something but just in a slightly tacky way.

been catching a few episodes of enterprise and prefer it alot more to normal star trek - but is quite different, and the story for it is a bit odd ... but i dunno. Guess i just like Stargate too much more right now
I mean the past series has been getting more and more far fetched as it were, i mean some real "oh god they didn't" episodes ... but after that cliff hanger episode it think Series7 is gonna make an awesome final season

I'm not a "Trekkie/Trekker" as such but personally I liked the original StarTrek best for its humor. Personally I also like Enterprise, it has a kind of tongue in cheek attitude that lightens things up from the relative seriousness of TNG, DS9 and Voyager.

Is it just me tho or did Deep Space Nine suck?

im a trekkie but not a merchandise collector or die hard fan.
Ive watched the majority of episodes for these series but may have missed a few
classic / nextgen / ds9 / voyager / enterprise

I like the way enterprise is a bit more realistic in some situations but I cant dismiss the others. classic is tiring for me to watch now.
next gens are ok but I think Ive seen to many of them.
ds9 gets good when something comes through the wormgate otherwise stick worf int he defiant and do something for gods sake instead of prominade politics.

I think janeway in voyager and her series took a long time to find a good workings of characters, especially when 7 of 9 devs the astro lab and the doc gets his hard light drive (red dwarf acronym hehe).

neelix is ok but ung when his wife died

mind you I like all of the doctor characters.

I found Picards 2IC painfull but I like commander trip from enterprise

tupaul is the most interesting character with her interaction with the captain on enterprise me thinks.

Well this is slightly OT but do any of you remember Blakes 7? That series was about the rebellion against the federation and portrayed starfleet as evil (like the empire in star wars) But was set way in the future far beyond all current star trek's when the federation had become a tyrannical organization devoted to universal control... I think the bbc were under threat of being sued by gene roddenberry for using the star trek insignia or something... Could make a cool game.

I've thought about doing a Dr who game also but I guess I couldn't go far with that seeing as speilberg owns the rights now... Still, might do it anyway, Daleks, cybermen, sontaren, wirren all would be cool game characters, but it would have to be the tom baker Dr...

The only thing Gene Roddenberry could have sued Blakes 7 for was the blatant use of polystirene rocks and dodgy locations. As I recall Cervelan was quite fit though.

Personally I liked ST:TNG and ST:V the best.

Me trekkie too.

I *really* hate TOS (the original series for you trekn00bs), and the movies except 1 or 2. TNG wasn't the best either, but I like it. Voyager is some of the best damn trek episodes I have ever seen, and I FINALLY got to see the last episode. That was great.

I don't like the new series either - Enterprise. First of all, they make it look totally unrealistic. They make the First Enterprise look like the Enterprise E! (The way they model it).. Stories are okay, but a movie may not be a big hit. Voyager crew could be doing a movie, I think it may..Though, I've heard talk about an Enterprise G. (Search Google for Enterprise 1701-G and you'll get some good site).

Star Trek is great. But too much in idle conversation is a bit hard to take (like my "episode 89 actuall" friend at work... grrr...).

But, how many people really really HATE Enterprise (avoiding it tonight to watch a DVD, and not even bother to record it), but actually quite like the music (even though should not be like that for StarTrek). Bit like Hawaii 50 from years ago. Dadadadadada dadadada etc...

I certainly like Enterprise - the cliffhanger from series 1 will be an interesting one to resolve...

The main problem I have with Enterprise is that technology its too advanced - in TOS, previous starships didn't have viewscreens...

do you mean it makes the enterprise NCC 1701 looke like enterprise E or are you refering to NX01 enterprise cos if you watched TOS you will remember the nacells looked like they do now on the new series of enterprise!

i like enterprise... its kinda i dunno, better than the others - watched Voyager from time to time - but thats mostly cause of 7of9

i think the main problem is that all the trekkies are trying to place all the things they do in the Star Trek history or something - they get so caught up that i think they forget it is JUST A TV SHOW! i mean christ who cares if they call something a dylithum porcupine in the Next Generation but call it a Dutanium Hedgehog in Enterprise??

the original star trek is what 30years old? i mean why the hell should we be subjected to thier veiw of the future ... i think with each subsequent star trek series they're making everything appear more and more realistic to the future rather than everyone wearing spandax lycra uniforms, they're wearing boiler/jump suits and such. The chairs look like something you'd ACTUALLY wanna sit on now and not slip off the front off if you did get hit hard, or kill the back posture.

i mean christ why can't they just enjoy that its a new series instead of bitching about all the mistakes?

Yes, TOS had viewscreens, but it was mention that at the end of the Earth/Romulan war, no starships had viewscreens - the ceasefire had to be sent using sub-space radio messages...

Mistakes can't be ignored because it then messes up most of TOS...

who the hell cares to take note of something like that?
they have veiwscreens in the original, yes? so exactly when do you get told that there didn't have them in Earth/Romulan war??

i swear if ya'll remember things like this then ya'll have WAYY to much time on your hands and need to get out more

Quite a few people do care about things like this...

Its mentioned (if I remember correctly) in the episode where they first meet the Romulans.

In addition, the height of the Zefram Cochrane in First Contact is different to that in TOS... Obviously the creature that was keeping him alive decided to shrink him too...

god well if you care about these things then i feel sorry for you that TV has to be all real and authentic with a flowing story in all of the spin offs.
its hollywood i'm afraid and you'll never really get things to flow perfectly without the story being written out way before they even start filming for ALL of the series OR even to have the episodes well researched before hand.

personally i don't care - its just a story
