Anyone know a way to do this? I use ACAD daily and am very proficient with 3D modeling, but haven't had any luck finding a .X exporter. I'm using v2004, but have all the other versions as well since v10. Thanks!

What file formats does it export? you might not be able to find a exporter, but there are plenty of converters out there

Well I can save it out as .DWG or .DXF, or I can export it to .3DS, .WMF, .BMP, .SAT, .STL, .EPS, .DXX. Although only 3DS looks useful (other than .DXF).

I haven't been able to get any 3DS files to work in DBP, but .X files work fine. Maybe I'm missing something with trying to load up 3DS files.

why not export to 3DS and then convert to x from 3DS? Something like Milkshape or lithunwrap would be able to make the conversion from .3DS to .X ( i think, let me check) Mikshape works....

What he said lol, lithunwrap should be a good converter, i find it doesn't keep my smooth data so I have to optimise my model in C4D and apply the smoothing again

AutoCAD is really not the best software for game modelling.

That's why the guys who made AutoCAD also made 3DS Max - I'm not sure exporting to DXF would give suitable results, and 3DS export might not give a usable mesh.

It might be worth looking into other modelling options, personally, coming from a 2D CAD/engineering background, I really like Rhino3D, as it uses solid NURBS, which can be broken down into optimised polygons.
