Technically this is a flash animation, but I made it in maya and used the vector renderer. I just figured I'd show it here. I'm only really looking for comments, but crit if you want. Trust me, I've painstakingly noticed every problem with it.

[edit] Takes forever to load on some computers...

[edit again ] If any maya users might notice, the blue guy is a rigged character from a tutorial book. I'd hate to get flamed for not saying so...

It's alright for start, but the animation really doesn't look very realistic.
Keep working on it!

woah there! just because you can move the camera as much as you want in 3d, doesn't mean you have to! Your character needs to be rooted, so he actually stands on the squares, his head turns upside down, the camera looks away from all the action, everyone else just stands there, This isn't ideal as flash animation, as it requires every single frame to be entirely different.

on another note, look like you've uncovered a bug in the forum, clicking that link opens another window with the forum in it

I don't have a sig, live with it.

It looks nice, as you said you've notice every painstaking problem, I won't crit as Ooga and Manic have (Plus they've said the sort of thing I would have anyway )

Its a good start to animation though dude

Don't ask, I just have to put my friends duck in my sig

To Ooga Booga and Manic (mostly Manic):

Thx Ooga and Sepp, however, Manic thx anyway but kinda pointless, as you have uncovered a fraction of the things that bothered me.

Well, I'm not sure how to explain it. It's really easy. I've added a screenshot of one of the menu's. Kind of an inside joke between me and this kid I met at a college thing, but maya tends to have 'easy buttons'. All I had to do was set some options and ta-da! Leave it to render for the night and I'm done

Thats pretty interesting but that blue guy freaks me out. when he spins on his head/neck, is kinda disturbing.
