I downloaded deom of FTP Creator.
Then I tried preloaded demo, to see how it works.
And I have big problem, because I'm used to flip vertical axis in every FPS game. When I go with mouse down, I want to look up, not down.

I can't find how to flip vertical axis in FTP Creator. Can anyone help me?
I still feel sick from those few minutes trying to walk around and having problems everytime when I moved mouse...
I really need to know how to flip vertical axis. I really want to use FTP Creator, but without being able to flip vertical axis, I just feel very sick and can't test the game.

Thank you

Well, since I choosed to flip the axis years ago, I can't imagine anything opposite... It's as if you are behind the machine gun - you go down and you aim higher, right? That's what I learned to use and I had always problems if I didn't have flipped axis.

When I work in wondows, then it's natural to go down with the mouse and get cursor down too.

But in FPS games, I'm used to feel as behind the machine gun, so having flipped axis is natural for me. But right-left is natural to have non-flipped.

And if I turn mouse upside down, then I get right-left problem...

In case that there isn't possible to flip the vertical axis, then I think that programmers should look into this.

I think that this is the second thing which should be done in the game, just after the job on fixing how to move around. Before you go onto the rooms.

Hi,

I'm afraid there currently is no option for inverting the mouse, I've heard people suggest that there might be a script for this but haven't seen one yet.

Theoretically FPSC is fully customisable if you have DBPro. For more discussion on "Invert Mouse" see:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=48068&b=21

By the way, and don't take this the wrong way, if you'd scrolled to the bottom the page and used the Thread Search for "Mouse" you'd also find:

I've personally chosen to get used to the uninverted mouse which took a few days, now I actually find it strange when I go back to my FPS games which I have set-up as inverted.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Rich.

Rich,

Thank you so much, the links you provided were very helpful. At least to see that I'm not alone, that there are also many others for who reversing controls are crucial and very important.

Maybe - if nothing helps to change this inside FPSC, then someone could maybe write a program which reverse controls to mouse in whole Windows? Then - this program would be started separately before FPS Creator or its exe file...

I can't believe that this is so hard to program in FPSC.
If nothing else - I could even agree to have separated version of FPSC, one with reversed controls (at least for myself), if this can't be changed inside FPSC itself.

Then - (imagine) we would offer/sell 2 versions of games - with normal controls and with reversed controls, because this would be too hard to implement inside the game itself.

Similar as other stuff for right/left handed people.

Zoki

P.S.
Who knows, maybe I was really a pilot in previous life, used to have reversed controls...
