is it possible to get my program to run as an icon in the system tray (ie. next to the clock)

i will probably neeed a DLL for this correct?
any one got one they would like to send me?

All programs have the ability to have a tray icon (Notify Icon) and be invisible when minimized. Other than these properties, they are all just programs - so when someone says "run as a tray icon" it actually doesnt make sense, but we know what you mean Having said that, I don't think dbp gives you direct access to these things. Not sure if a dll could either.

Hmmm, seems like it don't work for U6 though, if that's what you are using, I'll try to get it to work.


Edit: Ok, fixed it for U6 RC5. CreatePopupMenu is now a reserved word?

Why reserve it, if you aren't going to give it to us?

cryptoman this is most usefull, i require your help, how do i do it to the application tab not to be showned in the taskbar ?

i mean, like i vb6, you have an option , for it not to be showned in the "menu bar", i just want the applciation icon in the system tray, i dont want the application tab in the windows menu bar (right next to the start button)

I believe the DBPro command is "Hide Window".
