I love this tool, however my PC hates it (Man I really need a new one) So I can't really post anything for crit, because its just too easy to get the results like that, plus I can't take cred for work I didn't actually make.

However I am posting because I think some people will have fun and inspiration from the demo, just google 'Vue 5' and you should find it pretty quick, I think I can gain a bit more of an insight into tree modelling from this, hence i am going to try tomorrow. However, the renderer is quite powerful and may use a lot of ram, hence my PC was only able to render the little viewport there, so make sure you're PC(Or Mac I think) is good enough.

wow that looks pretty rad. What all can that proggy do? is it just a tree/scene maker or can you actually model things in it? It looks pretty powerful/CPU hungry.

Well, it hasn't exactly got modelling tools, but you can import animation/unanimated models into it, and move them along on the landscape etc, check out the website really and look at what people have done.

Maybe after getting C4D 9 a new PC and Zbrush I might buy this thing

I always prefered Vues to Bryce, not just for it's beautiful renders, but the foliage stuff is really handy too, I'll have to dig out my old copy, see if I can make an advanced terrain with it - if I come up with anything pretty I'll post a screenshot.

Have you ever heard of Terregen, it's basically the same program but I like the water you made in Vue 5 looks awsome. I'l have to check it out.

Edit: the GUI in Terregen looks worse also

Isn't Mr Ross the blind teacher at my school who's classroom is on the 4th floor?

Yep, terragen is a nice app, a lot of people use it, I find Vue and Bryce have so much more than terragen, but by principle its basically the same.

Dunno, haven't tried it, it looks like Vue has the better renderer (then again I've looked at Bryce renders from before the newest edition) however I still gotta try it for myself
