Damn... that IS awesome work. 15.000 layers!? This guy is so good at and so dedicated to his stuff that it's simply amazing! Not a single 3D program or something if I understand correctly! Amazing indeed!

thats nowhere near photo realism

good painting sure, detailed yea... but it doesnt even look real. It looks like CG stuff without proper lighting.

Also what sthe point of using 15,000 layers?

Da vinci did one many times bigger, with one layer.

Also da vinci didnt use alpha maps either.

I agree, its good but its pretty obvoius its a CGI. But dont get me wrong, its excellent for something drawn without using 3D

Da Vinci did use layers, that's why modern art packages use layers.
