A blue van in the moonlight...

I think the original is some kind of east European VW clone. The real vehicle had a distinct nose down/tail up suspension setting which I've reproduced for no other reason than I thought it looked interesting.

The zip includes the .x file, a .tga texture, .bmp thumbnail and a basic .fpe

The default file paths are meshbank\user and texturebank\user, but you'll probably want to change those if you decide the keep the model on your system.

As with anything I put up here, it's free for use in commercial projects. Just don't redistribute the mesh and/or texture separately.

Cheers

- Graham

I can't get it to install. It keeps giving me a runtime error. How do I install it if I want the van to be in Generic - Items?

You could make multiple colors just by importing the texture into a program like GIMP, or PSP; then just change the Hue/Saturation of it.

The wheels wouldn't move, but you could just give it a path to follow; then script in a vehicle noise to play only when it's moving.

I believe you'd have to disect the model (remove the wheels from the van), before you could animate them; but I wouldn't think it would be impossible. I don't know yet...

I tried giving it a waypoint in static mode. diddnt work. In dynamic mode, diddnt work. And it dosent matter on having animated wheels.

It gives you something to look at when you're crouched down behind the van, hiding from sniper fire

Put the .x file in the meshbank\user folder, put the .tga file in the texturebank\user folder, and put the .fpe and .bmp files into the entitybank\user folder.

You'll need to edit the .fpe file if you want to put the mesh and texture in different folders. The .fpe and .bmp files can go anywhere in the entitybank folder structure.
