only 'bug' i'd point out is that the dialog box needs to clear itself sooner, meaning the results from the last hand (say i had "a pair") don't match what my current hand is (say i have nothing but it still shows "a pair").
edit: see attached screen shot.
to follow up on that, it should really show "a pair of Jacks" or whatever the hand is. part of WHY we play video poker is because of the simplicity. ie, you can play it for fun, without having to think too much.
i'm assuming you have plenty of ideas on how to improve the game and i hope they include a more distinct "highlighting" of cards you'd like to hold on to. aka, an outlined box a couple/few pixels wide is not enough. i suggest either flashing the box, making it wider, and/or labeling it with "HELD" over the chosen cards.
and, a "Replay Bet" button would be nice. having to hit the "Bet" button 5 times to bet $50 each hand get's repetitive quick. maybe t let the "Deal" button work as "Re-Bet" after the hand is complete?
edit ok, i realized what the "Set Bet" is for and it will help with the Re-Bet idea but i still suggest a "Re-Bet" function that both places the same bet and deals the cards with 1 click.
and, finally, the "PAYS" window is hard to read. might tweak the coloring some.
bottom line is that it works fine, is stable, and does what you're aiming for. the nuts and bolts are there and healthy. i'm looking forward to additional bells and whistles on this
thanks for sharing it.
