Hi all just posting to let you know there's a new irc channel out

irc.devhat.net
/join #fpsc

I've got it registered so that people could chat about fpsc v1 and ea like in the darkbasic irc

Sorry wasn't sure where to post this but thought it would be nice to use irc as an fpsc community as well because the forums can be a bit slow (No offence Tgc)

mIRC

download it its for free basically

than you click file and select select server

put in the server info as stated in the beginning of this thread

than you connect..

than you tell it you wanna connect to #fpsc

and BAM

your there

more people need to get on this

it would be sweet

as long as there isnt a bunch of Trollers

Mess with the best....Die like the rest.

ive got IRC but i have no idea how to get onto it.

It only lets me chose from a server list, and everything that you have said isn't listed there.

I've never used IRC before, what am i doing wrong?

Well I've been there before for a week straight and never seen anyone. If you wanted to make it work you have to load consistently. I'm sure anyone that's played on battle net is aware of loading bots to keep a channel active.

Today I'll load an account on another computer. It would be nice to see some of the old timers(older and wiser then I) to do the same. Maybe if enough of us kept it up it would clean some of the rubbish chitter chatter and noob questions down on this forum.

Specially with the "Christmas" guys all coming around it may be wise to attempt to answer some of their questions there so post of a more legitimate nature are bumped for-"How do I make walls", like I seen earlier.

Im loading now....I'll look in basically on the hour

Agreed if more n00bs joined there we'd have less "How do i build a game " posts on the forum and an active channel everyone wins.

o and if anyone is wondering why i'm posting on a new account... Got Darkphysics sent rto my new e-mail so i needed a new forum account as well

I've got a new account because all my order's go to my new e-mail.

Perhaps getting an online irc version going would help out?

Not too many users may know how to set Mirc up and join channels and all.

Just a suggestion

Good evening all,

I just jumped in to IRC and could not find the channel as registered. Is anyone actively using it? If so, to help promote it, I would be glad to put together a how to for MIRC and BitchX clients. Locrian do you still want to host a howto bot? If I can help, I will be glad to.

If needed to help , I can also toss up a java irc client off of one of my websites. Let me know, it helps me as much as others.
