It's a forum about programing, Star Wars is a must.

My fiancee did all the avatars (collected them from various sources, sorted them out, picked the good ones, etc). I didn't do any of them except mine.

Cheers,

Rich

I don't know what's more scarey, the thought of being married or the thought of typing something contrary to the opinion of 'Lady Ice' who's using a picture of Carrie Fisher as an avatar... scarey.

BitTorrent is what she uses, seems to use most of the bandwidth too... Mind you, doesn't help having an intergrated network card...

heh Bittorrent takes over the whole connection but it's the faster, safer way to download(just gotta know what to tweak )

But yeah,a network card definetely eats up ressources...and boot time.(integrated must be a noightmare)

Plus another copy of C&C:Generals for a three-player game

sounds more like you need an extra computer
the Intel 10/100 HighSpeed Network cards are pretty good and work mostly on hardware not taking up much resources. They're like £50 each but certainly worth it ... especially as most onboards or cheap cards never venture over 10mbit/sec nor have upgradeable bios's

I might get a new one after I've dealt with these three. I generally go for Netgear cards - nice and cheap and very good performers.
