I created a great landscape that has built-in camera movement (moving in first person) with Advanced Landscape Editor (ALE). Problem is I can't get it to display in DB or DBpro. Any help would be appreciated. I typed Load object "name of x file.x",1. All I got was a black screen. I had sync, fog etc. turned on.

I loaded a ALE landscape with the following code. It's doesn't seem to get all the textures on the object correctly for some reason. I am going to do some testing with it this week. I just picked up the program not to long ago.

Thanks user for your response, but what code did you use. Where you able to move around the landscape? If so, would you share how?

User, disregard the last post saying that I couln't find your code. I just found it. I typed it in and it Worked!!. By pressing the left mouse button I was able to explore the landscape. It was thrilling! I will explore the ALE site and see if I can find a way to add the texture back. Thanks again for your help. If you discover anything else I would appreciate your help.

Dr. Reaper I contacted ALE. This is their solution:

You need to export a prop placement file. This contains the position/scale/rotation data for your props (trees, lighthouse - anything that isn't the terrain). This is a simple text file that you can view in Notepad. Parse the file in your own engine and use the data to load and correctly position the props. If you ask on the DB forum, I'm sure somebody has already written such a function. If not, there is a function for BlitzBasic included with ALE that you could translate to DarkBasic.
