hey i have a game, and i put flickering lights in. they all work, but when i 'build' the game and try it out on the .exe, the lights are all just static! No flickering, no light switches! theyre just always on. it takes away from the game. is there some sort of setting that i missed? like in the global script or somtin? any help appreciated

thanks
rlly confused.

For light2.fpi to work the light has to be dynamic. Check this before building again.

ok sorry maybe i should give more detail-
the light is a static light turned dynamic. everything is the same except its dynamic, the range is different, and the "main" script is
user/flashinglight.fpi (i know the script works).

the queer thing is that when i test the game, it works. when i build, it doesnt.

yeah yeah, test game is NOT build game...

QED: the settings are different. Check Prefrences and compare to the BuildSettings.

everything IS the same. in build game, the visuals are-
-i cheked No shader effects (versus full shader effects)
-Automatic Floor is NOT checked
-Dynamic Lights IS checked
-SOFT lightmaps is checked (instead of NO/FULL lightmaps)
-texture quality is medium(256x256)

im not sure what im missing its REALLY annoying. any help really appreciated. any other settings required? tell me and ill tell you.

If it isn't the fact that dynamic lights aren't on, and you didn't mod the script, there is little else we can say.
