I know I sound like a noobie, but, I've tried making Black colored lighting, but to no avail. I know that in the test game I can darken by using < key. And lighten by using > key. I can't apply that to built game. Or does it have to do with the fog??? Plz help. Thx In Advance, CEO and Chairman Getix Interactive

Make a closed room and place a light somewhere outside it.

Or you can set the ambient light in the build game settings. It's under global script.
Or you can use the following. Open notepad, paste this and save it in your scriptback/user folder as lowlight.fpi. The make a dynamic light and set its range as 5 and its AI main script to lowlight.fpi

NOTE: This is not my script. I know nothing about scripting. However i found it a while ago on the forum somewhere and dont know the author. Please say who you are so correct credit can be given!

Oh, that's weird! It's supposed to be at 100 light throughout when there is no light. No matter. Another question, why are some of my entities screwing up?

Getix--Bloodeath is right, there will be no light at all if no lights are on, but only when pixel shaders are on full. Really, though, there is still light--I think of it as a little bit darker than it is without pixel shaders when you have a light that you can't see.

Without light, and without pixel shaders, it sets it to 100, like you said (unless you alter the ambience).

Great. The demo will be out as soon as possible--it'll be a big day, believe me, and I'm excited. Filefront finally came back online (although uploading is still offline), and once I get the solution to the one problem that I need to fix, the level will be ready (unless I decide to add a thing or two, which I will). Expect it sometime tommorow or the day after.

Of course, that isn't what this thread is about! Glad I could help.
