Maybe it is a horribly misshapened Milkshape clone...

Milkshade? It's not as good as 3bs mask, but it's only what 25 bucks. I like it a lot. Better than anim9or or mimgs3b. Gameface Light is free, but I don't like the interlace as munch.

Heh, good call Sinistar, what with taking it a step further and all.

To actually answer the initial question, though: I found Milkshape easier to get into than Anim8or, but apparently that is because they are very different, and learning with one makes the other harder somewhat. However, the .x export doesn't... well, export in the manner that FPSC reads, so it's basically out of the question (although I believe there is a plugin for it).

I made a $650 ned kelly armour mesh for a client years ago using milkshape / photoshop and lithium unwrapper.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

Jiffy..You must have gotten off the banna boat. These fools have been telling me that 3DSmax is the way to go but no one here in there right mind, "Unless you are very rich," Can afford it! I have been fighting for a way to get a plug-in that works with Milkshape3D for a while now and I'm here to tell you two things...One: You have no choice but to use Milkshape3D unless you have resources that I don't know of and Two:
Go to the 3 dimensional fourms..They maybe our only hope now.

Milkshape is easier, more affordable...but I don't know if it will work to make models in FPSC. It might, but not too sure.

Has no one been listening? FPSC is made with Dark Basic and the 3d chatroom next door talks about modeling animations in DB. And a tut on Milkshape. hello?

Ho for god sake..Go learn to model A model for Quake,Quake2 and learn to animate before screwing around with this. You will have more of a chance animating an actor using it's middle finger before you can animate anything with FPSC or DB or even that silly program called Character Shop they have. Go ahead..See whats its like learning how to do this crap all by yourself and then after years of hard work and sweat and blood have some a$$hole say your making a fool out of yourself just because they could not get 3DsMAx to work! They thought I was just like them. I busted my hump learning the dynamics of this a$$kicking modeling thing and what the hell do I have to show for it? Goofies wanna makea models butta noa have biggie brain. I can't help anyone with modeling till they realize that this is no joke!!

Raymond,
I must have missed the model pack you made. Please post a link for us?
The bottom line is only the modeler can decide which app is best and the best thing this poor guy can do is try some demos and apps until he gets the feel of the one he wants.

I made Grave Matter pretty much entirely with Milkshape ($25) and Paint Shop Pro 8 ($19.99). With that and Magic FPS ($14.99) I can make pretty much anything you want and have it work fine in FPS Creator very quickly with tools for under $60 total!

Sinistar didn't say anything about paying him/her $60. Sinistar said that's how much all the programs (including MFPS) cost together.

Psionic has some pretty good tutorials for Milkshape; find them here.

Right... I meant that's what the programs I use cost together. I wasn't asking for $60. I mean you can go out and buy all the tools you need to add your own models and stuff to FPS Creator for under $60. So you don't need big $$ to add your own content.
