I'm pretty sure this is a major health bug, but just like some confimation of others about it.

Check out the three screenshots (in the next posts also)

I do start the first level of my game with Lives 3 - Health 300. My player start position has those settings (the green arrow).

In the all of the next levels I do use the same settings for the player start position.

Now check out picture 1, the start of the game, everything fine.

At the end of level I've got Lives 2 --- Health 228, see picture 2.

At the start of level 3 I've got Lives 2 --- Health 228 also, no poblem, but.......

Check out picture 3, this is taken after right after I lose a live in the next level and guess what Lives 1 --- Health 228. This isn't correct it should be 300, that's my max live.

After playing a couple of level this bug persist, even after rebuilding the game. Now the follow scenario happens also. Start of Level 1, health 300. End of level 1, health 48. Start of Level 2 loose a live and you start with health 48, instead of 300.

That's really bad and the player will never ever finish the game.

Did anyone experience this also and can something be done about it? I've worked out a lot of work-around of the FPSC bugs, but this one I can't solve and it's a sure game killer.

When you start a new level you max health will be whatever it was when the last level ended.So if your health was 112 that is the max you can get from there on out no matter what you set it at.I found that out when testing my game.
If you want your health to be 300 max going into the next level you can place a healing zone at the end of your level to get the player back to full health before going to the next level.
I don't think it is a bug.I think FPSC set it up so when you start level 2 your max health will be whatever it was awhen you left level 1 and so on.

Is that normal in games, seems very odd to me..... once you die shouldn't you have the original amount set, in this case 300?

I'll try you suggestion, sounds good to me.

After going through about 4 levels and having no health I just put a heal zone at the end of each level so I would be at max health at the next level.You might check this out in the bug board,though.
I think health is like weapons and ammo.You carry what you have from level to level.

Try this... not gonna test it atm, but perhaps if you edit the plrstart marker you can get it working.

We have Non-blinking lights, bad health, and a bunch of other little errors.

Okay, just confirmed it

if level>1
playerstartlives=saveplayerstate.lives
playerstartstrength=saveplayerstate.health
weaponammoindex=saveplayerstate.weaponindexholding
playerstarthasweapon=weaponslot(weaponammoindex).pref
endif

startstrength needs another variable called maxstrength.

Thanks for looking into it.

I tried the healthzone at the end of the level idea and that works fine, a good work-around for the bug. Just edited the script to make sure it adds lot's of health real fast.

Something strange happens in multiplayer, too. Sometimes when I respawn, I fall down into my respawn location and lose health that way, and then all the sudden I have three other guys shooting me when I have 38 health to start with...not cool.
