I was fooling around with the fluid simulator in Blender yesterday and I thought I would post some of my results. I didn't want to take too long on the baking time so I used a medium res (90) on the water.
Here are some screens of the two movies I made:

And here are the links to each of the movies(about 2mb each):

This is the first time i've tried using photobucket's video option so I hope it works.

Holy cow, reminds me of real flow, I think I'll get my head around Blender for the tools I don't have It is possible to do in cinema 4D CE 6, but doesn't use true dynamics as it appears to in the simulation here which will cut out work

Yey! I removed the sig...

this isALSO a n00b comment: Did you just like set the physics then let it do that by itself?

Download, start up, model, animate, export, import, program, test, export, compile to disk, advertise on forum, sell, get rich. It takes a lot to get rich eh?

Yup. All that is involved in making this is setting a cube as a liquid 'domain' adding an icosphere and setting it as a 'liquid' maybe modelling some objects and setting them as 'obstacles' and then clicking bake. There are detailed tutorials on the blender site as to how to set up a simulation. It's really very easy as long as you have a pretty good understanding of blender.
