Hmm. I mostly have bad things with it. I think I'd wait a while. P3.1 still works, so why change it?

Dark Fox... if you have a Radeon-based video card, then you may want to wait until they resolve the "game startup delay" problem introduced in patch 4. If that doesn't matter to you, or you have non-Radeon video card, I think the general consensus is that patch 4 is good... lots of good fixes.

Read the patch 4 download page... look for stuff you care about, and make your own decision (armed with the information about the Radeon problem).

On board cards are usually S3 Trio or TNT2 or SIS type cards and are usually a load of rubbish for 3D games.

Radeon cards (specially 9000 and above) are top of the range, on par with a decent geforce card and should be able to run anything.

It appears though that patch 4 has a problem with most radeon cards (excepet 9700). The problem is where first few 3D objects created or loaded take a number of seconds up to multiple minutes for some people.

Radeon is an ATI card(s), and geForce is from nVidia. You usually have to purchase those separate from the pc.

I would advise against it, I guess it wouldn't hurt you to download it, install it, but backup what you were working on. And if push comes to shove, you could reinstall ... which i'm about to do.

P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.
