Just looking for some feedback on my character ive finally modelled.

I have modelled a few times before using references but either gave up or gave up when UV mapping came into play.

However i have stuck to it to produce this chap in his white boxer shorts at 986 Tris. I didn't use any references this time and im quite please as the body parts are quite proportional to type of character I was after.

Need to rig him now and animate his different poses. I have a small problem though, I made a quick animation sequence to test in DBpro, but when i export to .x in Maya and export the animation data etc some reason DBpro just sits at a keyframe that i have selected from the timeline in Maya?

Thanks,
I think it is the third time ive had a go at modelling a character. But I have played about here and there, I can't see myself being as good a modeller as people are in the industry though lol. It definatly doesnt comes to me naturally GRRrrrRr

It looks good, especially for one of your first attempts. The only things Id recommend tweeking a bit would be the eyes and feet. If you're going for low-poly then the eyes are perfect as they are, but if you dont mind adding in a few more polygons here and there you should look into creating an eye-sockit and then using a sphere for the eyeball, it looks more realistic, adds depth, and is easier to animate.

Oh and the feet, just add some definition where the ankles are as they kind of look like skin high heels (in a good way! ).

Either way, it still looks great for one of your first attempts at a humanoid. Goodjob!

lol i was thinking about the eyes, at 896 Tris i got plenty of polys to play with to socket some eyes.

The feet are defintly something i was thinking of working on later and the arms. I just wanted to get him uv mapped and tested in DBpro lol.
