which is easier to learn and which is more detail. 3D World Studio or cartograpghy shop 4?

You could always download the trials and check out for yourself, if your internet is fast enough so it doesent take 1000 years.

The easiest to learn is the one that flows with your own individual workstyle.
that is a question you have to find out.

some people swear by wings3d while others say milkshape is grouss, and then others may suggest something other then those options.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

I have used both 3D world studio and cartography shop 4. I use 3D world studio now. I don't know if they have fixed this, but carving had some difficulties in Cartography Shop 4. In 3D world studio I have found that I have to make images 256 pixels by 256 pixels to texture an object with it. These are the only differences I can think of.
