I think I have a way around not being able to use a model used in poser. If the player shoots his way into a room, for a second he sees the hostage victim manacled at the other end (actually a photo made in Poser using a poser model -- which has been made into a sprite.) Then in leiu of animating an actual model of the hostage, show a movie also made in Poser, of the hostage victim being released, thanking the rescuer then running away. Legal to use a Poser made photo as a sprite, right? And an avi made in Poser. (if there is issue with the face of the standard poser woman, Poser 5 lets me fix the face)

Yes, that would be completely legal. I've done it before, creating sprites with poser characters for a 2D engine.
