You don't have to be insane to answer my questions, but it helps

it would consist of making an animated model of two fists and a punching animation, then you could give the weapon a range of about 75 to make it feel like melee.

where exactly do you change the range of the weapon? I thought that wasn't possible. It's one of the reasons I abandoned this engine and just use the textures and models it comes with in other engines. I might make a demo if i could get a range on a weapon to be shorter. What exact file/line do I change to achive this?

Disturbing 13, I cant believe you abandoned FPSC, just because you didnt know about the key range in the gunspec file.

accually it was allot of things- melee, ladders, flashlight, save/load, too linear, level creation too limiting, "scripting" learning curve, same skybox for ALL levels, lack of an event system for those not script savvy, graphic features that are so taxing on a system that they are useless without a super comp, and most of all the attitudes of the users who use this forum to vent their own in adiquacies. If this is my only source for help, no thankyou. I don't feel like being chastised for asking a question by some punk with nothing better to do than comb through every post just so he can post "Read the (inadiquate) manual", or "Use the (way to specific) Search button", or "Stop asking for help on a help forum NOOB", need I go on? Heck TGC mods don't even like coming here, and the few that do bravo to them but they have to deal with so much crap it's like they're trying to stop a hail of bullets with an umbrella.

FPSC is a great texture and model library for the price, so I'm not complaining bout paying for it, really top notch stuff, but man in all seriousness I'm looking for a bit more performance and allot less bugs. And handing me a broken engine and not letting me know squat about fixing it really isn't cool. So in a nutshell, that is why I abanoned it. I apoligize if I made it seem like I left for one feature.

Nah, I have someone developing an engine for my forum and his students useing Blitz3d. He's creating a user friendly interface that is open to nonprogrammers and programmers alike, also it will be free to the public. Gamestudio-A6? Heh their forums are just like this one only replace Noob with American. No thank you, I don't need that big of a headache because of where I live.

BackOnTopic-Out of these options what do I change as I do not see a range for option. The other catagories didn't look like they apply.

muzzleflash
muzzlesize
brass
smoke

damage
damagetype
scorchtype
