first of all i'd like to say hey to everyone since i just made this account
now to my question-ive made my program and it works and everything, and then i hit f7 as the intro said to do i found where i wanted it to be and clicked ok but when i went to look for it outside of darkbasic it wasn't there but when i look in that folder it is there
can anyone explain?

f4 and f5 build the exe, with f5 also then running the code inside of the ide (assuming youre using the stock ide)

find-i made it already and i can see it when i go through file open inside of darkbasic but when i go through windows it's not there

The name of the executable (unless specified otherwise) is always something like Default.exe or Temp.exe (I forget which). If you want the name of the exe to be different,



To the name. It should be there afterwards, if it isnt try doing a search on your computer for the exe name to see where DBP is saving it.

i dont think dbc makes exes, but its been a long long while.

Yes it does - just use the Build Final button.

The exe has the same name as the DBA file so MyProg.dba file compiles to MyProg.exe and is in the same folder.

[Edit] 'Build Final' may be 'Make Final' - it depends on the IDE you are using!

the problem is that when i open the folder it's in, it's not there
