I have made a multiplayer map and when I load it, on the bottom left part of the screen is says, waiting to join. How do I join with my friends over the internet. I know its possible because in the manual it says you enter the ip adress somewhere and you connect.

How is this done?

Please help

You have to turn off your firewall completely?!

My firewall(zone alarm) as me for permission to access the net and I agree. Isnt that enough?

Cruising the net without a firewall is pretty stupid.

XP even has its own cruddy little firewall. Do you have to turn that off as well?

Does that explain the dirth of mp games? Because they are well nigh impossible to test or play them without putting your hardware at risk?

The multiplayer map works on my computer (played another computer on my network), but when either of my friends tries to run it, a black screen comes up. I told them to turn off firewall and everything, but still the black screen appears.

Whats wrong?

ebg if you and your friends cruise the net long enough without a firewall, then a black screen is all your machines will be capable of pretty soon. Not kidding.

As for the problem at hand, Id say rebuild.

But who knows? Maybe some hacker has deleted a bunch of your .dll s already.

I have Norton system works 2006, spysweeper and spyware doctor. Nothing is getting through. As for my friends, they have zonealarm suite.

So you think the problem is that i have to rebuild it, ill try.
