i didnt find this anywhere, so can you make scenes in another (e.g. 3dsmax scene etc.)program and import them into fpsc?

Yes,as long as you make them .X and make a .fpe.

OR just make a .X and get Magic FPS

But all the enemies will fall straight through it. Externally modified terrain is not supported at this time.

Yeah but only small hills and stuff. Not full gargantuan levels. And then you wouldn't be able to have multiple textures so you'd end up splitting your map into several sections. You'd probably get seems between the models it'd look really awful and so would not be worth bothering with.

Hopefully quake format maps (bsp?) will be supported one day.
