Ok, i need some feedback and opinions plz.

Me and my friend are about to embark upon a coding experience. A level editor
and engine to run compiled files.

The editor will be produced in VB6 simply for its ease of interface creation.

The editor will work on the basis of map entities but i can only come up
with a few types of entities that would be useful to people.
Things like Player spawn points or enemy spawn points or doors and switches etc.
if anybody has ideas for entities they would like to be able to use with ease
then post here since the programs are still in design phase.

For RPGs, treasure chests, and force monster battles (like in front of treasure chests, or at the final door of the dungeon )

Good luck!

Yes i will bear those in mind RPGamer. Notice there might be some compatibility issues when it comes to your program running entities from my program. A treasure chest style entity already was planned. It outputs three values, the x,y position of the entity and a 1 acknowledging the fact that it has been opened. It is then upto the rest of the users programmers to work around those facts and add nessecary items to an inventory. As for battles, this will simply be part of the event system. The event system hasnt even begun design yet so i cant give you more information (coz i dont even no myself )
