I have for example made a bathroom in my map, and on the toilet is a medkit (unusual place but ok ) well... My character only has to open the door and not even come to near to the medkit, and it already has been picked up... Now my question... Can I change it , so that i have to touch the medkit?

Thanks,

Starmaart

Place the health item. Now right click on it to get it's properties. At the AI script you'll see pickuphealth.fpi or pickuphealthglow.fpi at the main position. Click on it and a file selection menu opens. Locate either pickuphealth.fpi or pickuphealthglow.fpi and open them with a notepad

Now you see the health script. Find this part: plrdistwithin=80 Put alow number, for example plrdistwithin=50 The lower the number, the closer the player needs to get to pick up the item.

While I'm on it, plraddhealth=50 tells you how much health the player gets. The lower the less, the higher the more.

Starmaart,

Distances in this and many other cases inside scripts are controled by the plrdistwithin=60 (yourdistance) and plrdistfurther=60 so changing these figure is relative to entity activation distances in relation to the player in the various script functions.

Edit : Sorry beaten to it
