why use freewebs ? why use hosters that you just install via there webspace ? theres alot of webspace providers out there but alot not good like 30 megs anf ftp acces for 3 dollors a month wtf ?

for your games i like to use http://www.addyour.net/register.php that website they give the neccesary webspace and instant set up for cpanel x 500 megs of space wich is enough for some websites.

Just thought id show it, its pretty cool site im glad i found it, unlike all those other sites where you have to wait for a cpanel hosting, there you get instant set up 500 megs, and 5 mysql databases.

Sorry to say so, but that host is absolutely no good for game releated websites. While the 500Mb sounds very impressive, the maximum size of one file can be up to 500 kb.

That's a joke.... give some one 500MB, but allow only 500kb maximum file size.

I've stopped using all of these so called free web hosts. I'm now paying for my host and it's not even that much. Now I'm getting 500Mb, my own domain, unlimited email accounts, ASP - PHP5 - MySQL, ftp access and unlimited transfer. No adds, no sudden downtime, no enforced restrictions.

If im reading that right... its 90p (as in pence) per month for teh cheapest package. With the £9 setup fee? Jesus that's a decent rate.

Yes you're reading it correctly. I've paid about 27 pounds (37 euros)for one year of hosting with them and that includes a domain. If I'm moving, I can take the domain with me, it's not restricted to their servers as some hosting services try to sell you.

As I recall , Freewebs is 29$ pr. year, if you pay to get the .Com Domain, and If you ask me, then thats a decent rate too,
Besides, if I want to upload something like Demos, FPSC stuff, and such, I just use Savefile.com , And besides, I think you get more possibilities with Freewebs when you pay for a .com domain.

But actually I am not going to sell anything yet, so I dont want to buy a domaing yet anyways. Freewebs is A nice Temporary solution if you ask me, and even a good permanent one, if you do alot of work into it.

@Benjamin A

Excellent service from them too. Just emailed them and got in touch about moving ALOT of my domains across. Need to email them to see if they do DNS Routing though... I would expect so.

It's quite abit cheaper than my current host.
