I made a fireplace and put a "smallfire" decal inside the fireplace to make it look like its lit. However, the sound of the firecrackle can be heard half way across the level which is very irritating. Is there a way to decrease the audible radius of the sound so you can only hear it when you're close to the fireplace?

You could just get rid of the ambient sound, make a soundzone/trigger zone, then strech it too how far you want it sound, then put the sound from the fire into the soundzone/trigger zone. I think.

JRock, Hmmm, that's a pretty good idea actually! I'll have to try this out.

Someone thought I had a good idea? (Gasps)
But I figured a new way so that sound is louder when your closer to the object/entity. Place a small soundzone around the object, then place more soundzones around that one, and using audacity or whatever make it (the sound) softer. There is probably a more efficent way, which I will figure out.
