Hi, Im a DBPro noobie (1st time poster )

I.m trying to get DBPro to work with Quake3 BSPs (I know, its passe). Ive read what many have posted over the past few years (lotsa dead links I find - not here, there...) and am still optimistically hoping this is resolvable with DBPro. If somebody has good news for me please do tell

I did manage to find a copy of Guy Savoies bsp entity tools but I keep getting the error:

Right now Im using the DBPro v. 1.057 demo (until my order arrives) on Win2k.

This error is from the sample in http://www.apexnow.co.uk/bsp_entity_tools.zip

ANY help or news with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you (in advance).

Probably because those tools were written for halflife bsp's. Give up on BSP while you still have hair.

...yes and those tools were written somewhere around 2002-2003 since then a lot was changed in DBP's core and BSP parsing it self. So they may not work correctly now! Believe me I liked BSP a lot too, but meshes, especialy DBO format gives you more and more coding freedom. BSP in DBP died a long time ago...

Thanks, I sorta figured as much from what I've seen of the posting.

Moving on. Now I'm pulling my hair out trying to master the Newton Physic dll (I'm stuck going in circles in Demo 05 FPS and its mods in some weird gravity(?) vortex - round and round and round... ).

Thanks again,
