Hi all! Need advice!
Working on a game that allready has a scene with a planet with clouds and all, and a starfield backdrop, next i want to create another scene, on the planet surface, different set of course, using terrain matrixes and stuff.

The space scene is the main set, and i want, by pressing of a key or something, to either (havent decided yet) completely replace the space scene with the surface scene, and back, or just display the surface scene in a portion of the screen, leaving the space scene behind.

What's the best way to acomplish this?

You can assemble both scenes a large distance apart and just move your camera to switch between them. A couple of million units apart should give you a big enough play area

True, thanks for the reply.
Can 3D be drawn to a bitmap?

It can, though copying and pasting 1024x768 images between bitmap 1 and 0 is extremely slow :-s
But not so slow with smal images, interesting...

u may find it easier to seperate them via the Y axis by a few thousand so when moving around on semi xz 3d areas u wont have to incurr the offset for each player except for the y dimension
