Recently been reading Orcs by Stan Nicholls, which I must say is a good read. So this brought on the inspiration to model somethings green(not that he is yet!).

The character concept I came up with was for a light infantry orc from a large highlands orc clan, forming the main spearhead in any hostile situation. With armour only where needed and a small pouch of medical supplies(herbs etc), these orcs are fast on their feet and courageously fierce when it comes to aggressive confrontation.

His poly count is at 3512 tri's, I now see a few areas I could've cut back on but I guess we learn as we go.

A few areas on the mesh need cleaning up like his forearms, but I'm happy with the overall look at the moment.
Going to attempt to texture him at the weekend so I will put up some pics then.

C&c most welcome,

And a bit closer...

I see theres another Orc up as well, c'mon Orcs!! lets get an army going....

Thtas looken pretty good! Only thing I would say at this point is that the nostrils look a little too square. But maybe for the intents of lowpoly it will have to stay that way.

Thanks Ooga Booga,
Cheers for pointing out the nose, it now sticks out like a swore thumb so I guess now I'm going to have to get a cutting! Also on seeing that I've noticed the ears could maybe do with a few random slices, they look a bit too straight and neat.

originally I was just seeing how low poly I could get but as this is not going to be used for anything apart from a render a few more polys wont make that much difference.

Cheers.

Looking very nice, when it comes to mesh however, its hard to comment much without seeing the wires So please post them and I'll get back to you. Looking ace though, keep it up

*EDIT*
Actually, when looking at it I find the position of the eyes to be a bit strange if I'm seing correctly.. this is not critique really, more of a suggestion as this decission is very style based. Here is how I would have done it however:

I think it's excellent and with some decent skins the orc will be top-notch...

Jonny - Can you jump over to my orc and give me some C&C....

Thanks for the comments all...

I see what you mean about the eye placement Jonny, it looks like I've got a oriental orc going on here

Heres some wire shots, for learning sake any comments on the flow, arrangement etc would be great.

Thanks for the comments...

Been a bit held up recently with work and everything else so I have had no real time to do anything with him.

Got some free time now so I'm going to get a texture on him later today or sometime tomorrow, for anyone thats interested.

Alpha Zero: explain? send us a mail, quite a bit on at the moment(own stuff+other), but I'm sure I could give a hand.

Cheers...
