well, fpsc is a 32 bit program, so a 64 bit proccessor wouldnt change much, what is its ghz ammount?

Try the demo, in theory it should be fine, as 64bit is backwards compatible with 32bit programs

If the speed ratings were comparable, I doubt you would see any difference. ( possibly with the exception of loading times. The 64 has wider bandwidth ) They are both excellent processors and work well with FPSC.

If you are looking at an upgrade or new system, definitely go for the 64.

I'm using a Athlon 64 3200+ clawhammer right now for FPSC and it works fine .

The CPUs from the Athlon XP 2000+ work fine with FPSC, including the new 64 range. If I recall Intel P3 upward's also are fine with FPSC.
