with sword and shield, pretty poxy looking, I made it to suit a low poly game but turns out I got about 1000 tri's anyway. I'm thinking of texturing it and puting still shots into a 2 d sprite to animate a plain.

For some reason reminds me of Zelda OOT for the N64. Those skeleton things that had either a sword and a shield or just a sword...heh

Good work, great to see people making models for games.. what you could do to reduce the polycount though is make the ribcage as one box, then texture it with an alpha channel. You should put up a UVmap of it and who knows people inkluding myself might texture it for fun

If you are going to animate a plain you can use as many polys as you want. You may as well go for a more realistic looking skeleton.
