Hi again!

>_> yeah, I haven't left that biiiig project I used to work on (so I'm still working on it! ) finally got a decent model (all by MEH! except the character concept, of course xD) but it has this WEIRD skinning problem... o0 I'm guessing it's the envelopes, but I don't know why it godly stretches her arm so bad... look...

Then I rotate it...

These are my envelopes...

The blade though, is LINKED to the forearm bone, so it shouldn't stretch like that oO as it doesn't even have the skin modifier, so! :/

i had the same problem, where my players arm would seem to stretch out if i tried to rotate it and it had a weapon in its hand, to fix this i had to manually assign the verts to the bone at the hand which took a while before it would work but eventually it did.

So you mean adding a separated Skin modifier to the blade and assign all the vertices (meaning they get all red) to the hand's bone?

I preffered to use Skin as it seemed more compatible - don't have Character Studio for Max 6 (only have 3.0 I think, for MAX 3, and dunno if it's compatible?) however, with Physique, exported to .X with Panda, works in DBP flawlessly?? o_o;

Nope, I tried doing what you said, and it's still stretching everything horribly >.<...

YAY, at last I fixed it

The solution I found was this one:

NEVER, EVER scale your bones, redo them if they're too large or too short, but if you scale them, the scale will also affect the skin of the model, no matter if you add the bone to the skin modifier before or after the scaling, just don't scale them.

It works now ^_^ YAY
