3 Dimensional Chat / milkshape texture problem

ok i made a texture in lithunwrap for my model i saved it as a bmp and painted over it in the gimp but when i load it in milkshape only one group gets textured and all the others turn brown
i made sure to select all groups for the texture.
nothing seems to work
i would greatly appreciate any help anyone could give

This is taken straight from the milkshape forums - I don't think it's what you're encountering, but it might work...

Quote: "1. This works most of the time select all, go to the Groups tab and make sure Auto Smooth is checked in the groups options. Use the menu commands Vertex-> Unweld. Uncheck the the Auto Smooth in the groups options. Use the menu commands Vertex->Weld

no this did not help but thanks anyway i am almost certain it isnt a problem with milkshape but a problem with how lithunwrap made the uv map because the only group textured was the group that started as mapped in lithunwrap
