I know in some languages, you can create a map from a text file, like this:

Where the "1's" represent a wall, and the "0's" are the floor. Then you run through with a 'for()' loop and replace all the numbers with the corresponding, image, picture, whatever. How can you do this is Dark Basic Professional?

Thanks

Change the format of the file slightly to include the width and height.

Hey, thanks for the reply Phaelax. Part of my question however, was how do you do the "build wall" and "build floor" part. Can you help with that?

Hey, I am trying to figure that one out too. I know you can use the data statemant using images for the numbers but I am having problems so far as using the restore or read command, etc.
I hope this helps
