You can do weather effects, but most posts relating to this in DB Classic have been erased, because they are so old, and were on other sites. Most techniques use plains for rain, and snow. You will have to think of your own ways to do different things. Like the sky changes could be just a light changing colour to effect just the clouds. There is no single way to program anything, there are many ways.

Yes, well, I think it will work in DBC, although I think DBC might not support the "set alpha mapping on" command. Just delete those commands out of the code. The functions won't be as good, but they will still look neat.

EDIT:

Uncle Sam, I'm having trouble with your editor! Does it work in dbc or dbpro and what files do i need to download for it too work. I'd love to use them in my games.

Check the challenge thread in the DBP board, we had a weather effect challenge there sometime last year I believe.

[edit]
actually, it was the first challenge.

Dr Manette:

It is for DBP. You are probably getting errors because it can't find the images for the effects. Copy your effect images into the same folder as the project, and then go to the "Load Effects" part of the code and set the name of the image to load.

Hope it works.

I would imagine you could do quite a lot of things with planes in 3d space to create clouds and whatnot. I'm interested in this too, but obviously, DBP codes won't work for DBC Uncle Sam.

Not really, both languages are pretty much the same, only DBP has more commands.
